Trail work schedule

Over the past decade FOMBA has worked with the Manchester Water Works, to advocate mountain biking and to cooperatively develop, build and maintain the trail network on the MWW property, surrounding Lake Massabesic. It is through this hard work that mountain bikers and other users are granted the privilege to recreate here. Come out and support FOMBA by volunteering some of your time to trail maintenance and becoming a member. With more members and volunteers FOMBA can continue to develop and grow this incredible network of mountain biking singletrack

All trail maintenance start times are Saturdays at 8:00 and run until about noon. Meeting location is in the Boardyard on Depot Road in Auburn, NH.  Parking is in the field, near the Kiosk. There are no rain dates for inclement weather, use your best judgment and dress appropriately. What to bring? Eye protection, work gloves, energy food and water are recommended. FOMBA will provide the tools. We have many projects scheduled for the season. The project attendance. for a particular day will be decided based on the number and abilities of volunteers in

Please keep FOMBA one of the best places to ride by showing your appreciation and respect of the property, the FOMBA organization and the trails. Do not ride closed trails, stay on the trails, do not take shortcuts, and do not perform unauthorized trail changes.

A local rider has found some gear on the trail and would like to help locate the owner. If you think you lost a saddle bag, containing some tools and a tube on Fisher Cat, email ME and we can arrange to get your gear back!

Good news folks, remember this?

the damage caused by the spring floods of 2006 on Depot Rd. have been repaired. The road is open for business once again. The parking area has also been filled in with gravel, but please be careful when pulling in, there are still some areas that are pretty rough.

A note from the Trail guy...

"With a 90% chance of rain, 50 degree temp and 20mph winds in the forecast for Saturday, the FOMBA Trail Work has been canceled for Saturday 10/28/2006. This was our last planned Trail Work Day for 2006.

In November we'll be prepping for the 12th Annual Turkey Burner on November 24. So come on out and make a donation to the organization and our friends with the Auburn Volunteer Rescue crew, have some great fun with your riding buddies before the season ends and burn some turkey. Besides the shopping can always wait another month.

Thanks to everyone who has joined FOMBA and volunteered at our trail days and events. Without members and our very generous and dedicated volunteers who make the FOMBA organization tick, this terrific trail network would not exist. For next year were hoping to put in another new trail, that is similar to Woodpecker, but on steroid's. So please show your appreciation with a membership and bit of your time to help the organization and trail network grow."

See you all at the Burner,
Kevin

As most of you have already figured out there has been some damage done to the parking lot off Depot Rd. If you haven't seen it first hand, be sure to check out the pictures below! Its going to be awhile before the bridge is replaced and the parking area is repaired, so until then parking for FOMBA will be in the gravel parking lot next to the Auburn Safety Complex on Eaton Hill Road. There is a trail from the north side of this parking lot that goes into the singletrack maze of fire roads. Go left after the humps and then right across the bridge. Continue straight and you'll pass the west entrance to Fireline and then into the boardyard near the Kiosk and Lady Slipper entrance.

Directions: From Rt101 exit 2, go south on Hooksett Road as you have in the past. Continue past the left for  Depot Road for a short distance and take your next left just over the bridge onto Eaton Hill Road, near the Auburn school. Go past the school and the graveyard and turn left just past the white shed on the corner of the lot.
There are also a couple of closed singletrack trails that are just to wet to ride. Fireline and Dear Run, both of these trails have flooded sections where the water is currently a couple of feet deep and not passable. Please check back here for updates on when these trails will be re-opened. Thanks to Pete and Kevin for the info and pictures.

Driving Directions from the Depot Rd. Parking lot.

Rain has caused major damage in our area as I am sure you all already know. I went out today after work and snapped a few pic's of some local spots, including the new homepage photo. I think it's pretty clear to everyone that we should tread very lightly, if at all on our trails. This may take a while to dry out.

This overflowing stream did this.. (Depot rd. near the Boardyard.)

Boat launch in Auburn.

Good news folks, Thanks to some very mild weather this spring the singletrack trails are now open for the 2006 season. The signs should be removed by early next week, get out and ride!
